I was just reminded of the Ani Difranco song, You Next Bold Move and it reminded me of how powerful a song can be at a pinnacle moment in life. I remember sitting with a back pack in Australia, packing my things out of this ol school bus I was living in and not exactly sure where I was gonna go next. I am not sure if that was she meant when she wrote that tune, but to me it meant a lot at the time. I love how we as people can apply other’s experiences to our own, almost as if it were ourselves who was doing the talking. Ani is pretty darn good as writing that kind of thing.
Just wanted to let you know that I am really looking forward to the gig this Saturday night. It will be the fist time in a long time where I will just be playing by myself, like the good ol days.
